Letters Week 3

As we finish up our series, we’re talking about joy, not as a fleeting emotion, but as a discipline! Christian joy isn’t something we stumble into by accident; it’s something we choose, practice, and fight for, even in the middle of real life.

We also look at Peter walking on water, how the storm around him was real, but Jesus was more real. The same is true for us. In moments of joy, anxiety, and everything in between, the question becomes: where are our eyes fixed?

Theme Scripture: Philippians 4:4–9 (ESV)  Paul reminds us to rejoice always, bring everything to God in prayer, and fix our minds on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable—putting these things into practice daily.

As you listen, reflect on the following questions:  Do you thank God even in difficult seasons of life?  Do you assume the worst in others?  Do you ruminate on negative thoughts or choose to redirect them?  In despair, do you initially go to God/the Church or isolate?  Is Godly living something you practice or merely know about?

See You Sunday at 10:30!
